Tiger Wiring Bundle

Using modern mil-spec solutions that recreate the original sound, this wiring bundle includes (most) all of the components (only excluding pickups) that you need to turn your existing strat setup into a tiger-spec guitar. Never again will you get stuck halfway through a build waiting on a part you forgot you’d need…and save the hassle of ordering parts from multiple places. Including a strat-sized replacement jack plate that will allow for OBEL capabilities.

Featured components:

• 1x Waldotronics Tiger Buffer

• 3x mil-spec potentiometers

  • Tiger: (10k volume, 500k log middle tone, 500k/500k log dual ganged bridge/neck tone)

  • Note: all bundles are currently shipping with 500k/500k linear dual ganged (bridge/neck tone), until supply chain issues allow for the period-correct audio taper dual pots. The linear is what wolf used, and is currently the only dual gang type available.

• 3x Orange Drop capacitors, 0.022 uf

• 3x DPDT Carling switches

• Full OBEL Capabilities, with 2x Switchcraft stereo 1/4 jacks & OBEL jack plate included.

  • Please note, this jack plate is intended to replace the stock jackplate on your strat-style guitar. Select your preferred plate material at checkout!

• Fender 5-way switch & switch tip

• Solder lug washers for the potentiometers

• 6 inch “Maestro” style ground bus (10 gauge copper wire)

This wiring bundle will require a 9V battery to operate; battery is not included.

Please note: it is recommended that you are familiar with soldering before committing to buying this kit, or planning on knowing someone who is competent at soldering. This bundle is best used by those planning to fully re-wire their guitar. Bundle does not include pickups, soldering equipment, knobs, or wire (other than the ground bus). A 9V harness IS included, but as stated above, the battery is not. Temperatures of up to 750-800 degrees can be required to solder to the ground wire, and the wire will remain extremely hot for minutes after soldering to it. Do not use the ground wire if you are not a competent solderer; it is included because this is how Dan Healy wired Jerry’s guitars, but is not required for operation if you prefer to ground it traditionally.
