JTS x TGD Guitar Cabochon

It all started with an idea to incorporate my cousin’s glass into my guitar. The more I looked at Jerry’s Irwin guitars as inspiration, the more I was inspired to have a decorative piece in that spot on the guitar (the buffer cavity!) Shortly after, the glass cabochan was created as a collaboration between Tastebud Glass Design Studios and silversmith Gemstoned Jewelry, made exclusively for Jerry Tone Store!

Each piece is handmade and one of a kind - Frank first creates each cabochon in his glass-blowing workshop, then sends them to Stefanie, who uses sterling silver to craft a backplate, with her maker’s mark hand-stamped on the back. A fine silver bezel was used for securing the glass to the backplate, both plain and serrated styles.

Each piece features two tabs with screws to secure your piece to your guitar. Take note of measurements - I use mine for decoration only, but if you are looking to use yours as a buffer cavity cover, please ensure the dimensions of the glass are large enough to fit over your cavity dimensions.
